Professional Indigenous Counsellor
Welcome.
My name is Kristielyn Jones and I am a Two-Spirited Dene woman from the NWT. Currently residing in Yellowknife, NT. I have been blessed to have been raised with the Lakota Sioux traditions, learning and walking the Red Road has supported me immensely throughout my life. As such, I live my life as ceremony, as it was taught in the Inipi (sweat-lodge). To follow the path set out by Creator, living by his principles and treating ourselves and his people with kindness.

In my counselling practice, as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate (RTC-C) & member of the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (ACCT), I offer a series of therapeutic modalities such as, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, dialectal behavioural therapy, somatic therapy, and simply talk therapy.
As such, I also offer indigenous healing practices through ceremonial practices, such as smudging, praying, making tobacco offerings, and more. Upon request from the client, I can provide these services throughout your therapeutic journey with me as your counsellor.
